Am I in danger?
Carly: I didn’t hear anything!
Jason: You wouldn’t have understood it anyway.
Carly: You don’t think I’m smart enough to understand your business?
Jason: You don’t want to, Carly. All you know is some names and a few faces, and that’s too much already.
Carly: Am I in danger?
Jason: Yeah.
Carly: How much?
Jason: Not too bad. But that could change after the first of the year.
Carly: How?
Jason: How do you think?
Carly: I don’t. I just don’t want anything to happen to you.
Jason: It won’t. But, uh, once the kid comes, you’re gonna have to find another place to live.
Carly: Jason, please!
Jason: Carly, look, I’ll pay for it. I’ll pay for it.
Carly: It’s not the money! I mean, it is, partly. I don’t have $500 to my name, but, I need you much more than I need your cash, all right? I need to be around you. Partly because I told you everything and you don’t think I’m horrible.
Jason: Okay.
Carly: The baby and I can stay?
Jason: Until there’s a risk. Or I change my mind. But I mean it, Carly. The next time somebody tries for me, you and the kid are gone.
Carly: No problem.
Jason: And besides, Dr. Jones or AJ take you to court, it’ll look a lot better for you if you’re not living with me.
Carly: Why? Because you happen to break the law? Well, so what? At least you don’t lie about it. You’re not a hypocrite like Tony or a liar like AJ.
Jason: You lied to him!
Carly: Only because I had to! I mean, I really don’t have anything against AJ. Tony I think I hate pretty much. But that wouldn’t matter if they’d leave me and my baby alone.
