[Carly walks in. Whole scene done with soft voices.]

Jason: Carly, you shouldn’t have come here, you’re only going to get yourself upset.

Carly: Too late, I’m already upset…. And, just so you know, I’m about to make a major scene. I am going to threaten. I am going to bribe. And, I am going to call in every favor because I refuse to let them take you away.

Jason: I need you to count to ten.

Carly: This is wrong you know? You’re not supposed to be calming me down, you’re the one going to prison.

Jason: I’m — I’m going to be fine.

Carly: You can’t promise me that. There are probably people there who hate you. Who hate you and Sonny. And they will try to kill you.

What if they try to attack you, Jason? What if they attack you, and you kill someone in self defense?! Ric would love to tack another murder charge on you!

Jason: I’m not going to kill anyone. Ok? I’m just going to sit in my cell and wait for Diane to get me transfered out.

Carly: I won’t be able to see you. I need you. And now with Jax gone, and without you around to keep my life in check, I am definitely going to screw everything up–

Jason: I–I need you to do something for me.

Carly: What?

Jason: This is a time I need you to be strong, for me, and for yourself, and for your boys. Don’t fight with Sonny. I want you to stay as far away from Jerry as possible. Can you do that… for me? Because if I know that you are going to be ok, I’m going to be able to get through this.

[Guard walks in.]

Guard: Visits over.

Jason: Ok, one more thing. Spinnelli. [A bit of a laugh.] Ok, if someone gives him a hard time, or if he gets into trouble, I need you to defend him like you would defend me.

[Carly nods.]

Carly: Ok.

Jason: Ok… and what else?

Carly: I will be fine, I promise.

[Jason gets up, and they hug.]

Jason: [With a barely audible whisper] It’s ok.

Carly: (Whispering) I love you so much.

Jason: I love you to.

[Jason leaves with Guard.]
