Jason: …I don’t want to fight.

Carly: I don’t want to either. I want you to listen to me. If you die, I will lose my mind, and this time there will be no coming back from it.

Jason: You’re going to be all right.

Carly: No, I won’t. I need you. You’re the only person in my life who has never given up on me, so don’t you give up, ok?

Jason: I’m going to do my best to live, Carly. But you got to promise me something.

Carly: Anything.

Jason: Be the mother Michael and Morgan need you to be.

Carly: I’m working on that.

Jason: Ok. And be nice to Sam and Robin. Don’t fight with them. And another thing — no matter what happens, for the rest of your life I want you to count to ten before you do anything.

Carly: I don’t need to do that because I can just come to you and you’ll set me straight.

Jason: I’m just saying if, you know, I’m not — I’m not here.

Carly: You’re going to be here. You’re going to be here, and I know it, ok? So don’t even waste your breath arguing with me, all right? You know, there was a day a long time ago when I was sitting at a bar named Jake’s, and this guy walked in. The hottest guy I’d ever seen, and I just told myself I have to have this guy or I’d die trying.

Jason: And you — you were really bored. That’s the truth.

Carly: No.

Jason: Yeah.

Carly: My boy on the side. I told you it’d be like that because I’d never feel anything, and I — I couldn’t have been more wrong, you know.

Jason: Do me a favor. You’re about as patient as I am. And I know that if you hang around during this operation that you’re probably going to get into an argument or a fight with somebody.

Carly: I –

Jason: So why don’t you go to Jake’s. You know, have a beer, shoot a game of pool — for me. Just remind yourself that you — you can survive, Carly. You can survive anything.
